Another S&W Pats Pending variant

In addition to having the double lock slots on both sides of the cuff, this one is marked with both PATS PENDING and M-100. I would assume after obtaining the patent and issuing the model number there were parts left over still stamped with the Pats Pending mark.

Its probably more common than I thought. Production variants can sure keep a collector busy!
