Joe,

I never knew that anybody other than Peerless and earlier Smith & Wesson made Peerless handcuffs. I'm going to guess that it was during WWII when lots of times other manufacturers were called on to help manufacture certain items.

Other than that, I have no idea. Probably the model 3 though if I was guessing.

--------- as CLICK & CLACK say -- STUNP THE CHUMPS and THROW A MONKEY WRENCH INTO THE GEARS and maybe the car will RUN FOREVER !! --- well below is the MONKEY WRENCH....... futher down this thread -- ANNON - posted a link to an old thread -- all should read it.....below is a letter that my father in law recived back in 1967 from the PEERLESS HANDCUFF co....so when did the COLT GUN co make handcuffs for PEERLESS ??? etc... i can't tell if SHE meant BEFORE (in the early years) or AFTER 1940 - or - BETWEEN...................... also, i have shown an EARLY PEERLESS - SMITH & WESSON cuff with number -- 73 -- on it.... many of the OLD TIMES who are not with us now have always thought that the cuffs marked LIKE this one were the -- FIRST -- FIRST -- MODEL - PERIOD (no proof) made by the BARNEY SKATE co as HE - had - an OLD OLD BARNEY co ad many years ago showing skates AND the HANDCUFF.... joe
