Ian, I don't mind so much when someone post something for sale, as long as it isn't an auction. I've even had someone try to play me to get more money on make me an offer, I've had a higher offer. I think if you have something to sell, you should set the price. I always have a price in my head when I got something to sell. It does clutter the forum a little bit, but alot of that is because people make 4 or 5 different post to sell 7 or 8 things. It would be nice to see it all kept in one post.
Guest, It's not that I'm trying to cheat anyone, It's just that if I put forth all the effort to find cool and unique items and I'm hoping to get it at a fair price, Why should someone post a link to give everyone who didn't put forth the effort the opportunity to go directly to an item and bid 3 times what it cost new? Everyone on this site has found a good deal one time or another. That's not cheating anyone.
Joe, I understand why you don't see the problem posting links. You are primarily a seller which posting links helps sell your item. If you bought more on ebay, you would feel the same way. People post your links all the time, especially jens. And while it attract attention on the forum, It always leads to an arguement. But be honest,don't your page views go way up when that happens? So in a way, someone may be knocking you on the forum but they may be helping you at the same time.
