Has anybody noticed this Greek seller selling his "retrofitted" Chubb Escorts where he has drilled out the locks and inserted new ones?

Not a cuff I would want to own.

If Chubb sold spare part kits so one could obtain discs for the AVA mechanism, then I might think it reasonable. But I have never heard of it.
Even gathering old dics' from other sources (others escort cuffs and padlocks) would be highly unlikley as you would possible need 5 locks to be sure to get even permutations for any given key.

The alternative and easiest method is to fit ANY key and grind off the excess of the disc'. Not a ethical or professional locmithing method. The security would definately by compromised and I would hate to ever think , 'What if a cuff like that got back into the system?"

It might be a good Idea to check with me the seller of the Chubb Escort Handcuffs on EXAY over the last few months.
To set the record straight I bought a whole lot of these handcuffs without keys,
I then obtained brand new Chubb AVA locks with 10 sliders and using the same technique as Chubb use to rekey all AVA locks retrofited the new sliders into the handcuffs and re assembled them to as new condition.
