Unique August Schwarz handcuffs with matching key for sale

From my collection are this August Schwarz handcuffs with a special story.



These handcuffs were used by the occupying germans in Denmark during WW2. After the war there were material shortage in Denmark and many german items were used afterwards, including this one.

But apparently it still did hurt to be reminded of the german oppression, and to disguise its origin the german text on these handcuffs were milled away. The old man who had these were certain that they had a swastika where they were milled, but I think its just the August Schwarz text they removed many years ago.




Another interesting thing about these, are the low serial nr. and particulary the matching key. I have never seen an original matching key for these, and those of you who collect guns know the importance of matching numbers on parts.

Original key and what appears to be a small spare key. The bits have same dimension as on the original.

the black key is made later, not from AS, the original key is the silver.

AS have make 3 key, see on my photo.
