Hi

The Chubb 1K58 appears to be a version of the 1K52 Escort cuff which I have not seen before. Does anyone have such a cuff and if so any chance of posting a picture.

Seems to be move from the AVA mechanism to an Abloy Protec. Now even more secure.

I wonder if they're actually being manufactured, and if so what insane retail pricetag they must carry. Chubb don't play around as all their products are of a very, VERY impressive construction,

The 1K58 cuffs have been on the Chubb Web site for about 2 years now, Chubb apparantly have produced a working prototype but have not given any further information, they are certainly not being commercially produced at the moment.

I agree with Ian the Abloy Protec mechanism is far superior to the AVA mechanism and has the ability for master keying etc. As for what they will sell for I have no idea but if the Protec Padlock sells for about £120- the cuffs will have be be well in excess of £400- I would think.

Guess one day we will see them.
