I bet I know some handcuffs you dont know about or have ever seen. They are very new to the market and website has just gone up.....and no I dont work for them....
So I thought I would give you the heads up
Though they are different. I dont really see the need for them and seem unnecessary feature ...If you have ridged or hinged cuffs..they would do the same job if you stacked cuffed
The guy who made/designed them was a former cop .....Thus he seems to think their is a need for this type of cuffs...so who knows if this will catch on...I can see collectors maybe interested though, due to the cool design ....I think they are cool though and different, and we all like that in life

Hi everyone, my name is Paul Amo and I am the inventor and president of Kuff Enterprises LLC and I produce Tuff Kuff handcuffs. I just came across this post and thought I would try to answer a few of the questions that have been raised.
-The one thing that I want to make clear is that I am not a business guru with vast marketing experience. I am a career Police Officer that had an idea to make handcuffs safer for the officers. I am learning the business end as I go and I am sure I will make more mistakes (I've made a few already)
- I apologize to all that received an error message from our website email link. These went down when we transferred our website to a different host and it wasn't caught for several days. The host we had was not able to store as large a volume of data as I ended up needing and I did not realize that this would be an issue when I set this up.
- The back order dilemma is just that, a dilemma. What I did was set the anticipated date out far enough that hopefully it will cover unforeseen manufacturing issues. The other side of the coin is if you don't have your product available for sale asap then you end up with product on shelves and a delay in receiving income from that product to cover the massive costs of starting up a new business. You also risk being classified as an undependable product and losing current and potential customers as another company did and has been mentioned in this post.
-There is a phone number but it is on the brochure link. I will get this corrected right away and have this added to the Home page. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.(another mistake)
-The question about rotating the wrists, inside the handcuffs, once they are on is addressed on two levels. First, the oblong shape of the handcuffs should prevent this if the handcuffs are applied "snuggly" to begin with. Every officer is taught this at the academy. No handcuff is secure if you leave them loose to begin with. Secondly, I designed Tuff Kuffs® to accept larger wrists by opening up the bow or arch area slightly, I also added more teeth so the jaw would close to a smaller diameter thus securing the smaller wrists also. Result is Tuff Kuffs® safely secures larger and smaller wrists.
-The statement about price. Yes, they are more expensive than the "standard" handcuffs. These "standard" handcuffs are also the ones that are allowing officers to be injured or killed every year. Tuff Kuffs® are definitely a "high security" handcuff and puts them into a different category than "standard" handcuffs. 100% stainless steel and 100% made in America also increase production costs. A comment received at the IACP (International Chiefs of Police) conference in Chicago from one of those Chiefs was "they are more expensive but it's like upgrading from a wheel(revolver) gun to a semi-automatic. Semi's are triple the cost but well worth it". I know that value will be determined by the officers or agencies, not by me.
I started working on this in 1999, after 2 Tampa detectives were killed by a subject they were transporting in their unmarked, uncaged car. He was handcuffed in front, sitting in the back seat. He reached up grabbed the drivers gun, shot and killed both and later killed an FHP trooper. My goal was and is to just make it safer for officers.
