I have a couple of older Billy Clubs - Nightsticks Need some help

My son has recently become interested in finding things at garage sales and he ran across several wooden sticks over the past month. One was from an estate sale and the other was from a rather large garage sale. They look pretty old. The black one has a lot of wear on it but is very solid. It has a rubber piece on the top of the grip. The other one has a leather strap around it. I found this forum when I was looking for into on the pieces. Any help would be appreciated on the age or value of the items. Many thanks for any help. The black one has US on the top and then has what I am guessing is the guys initials on the bottom. One is about 22 inches long and the other is 18 inches. Ebay and California have really weird rules for these things and think nothing of letting us buy Swords, Shotguns, Anti Aircraft Shells and Knives but they have issues with batons. I dont understand that one. Regardless, thanks for any help.

Have a Monadnock PR-24-AL (MADE IN USA) Aluminum and ABS, side handled, Police Baton, circa 1985-90. Comes with a Factory OEM swivel leather duty belt scabbard.
