Harvard keys?

Does anyone know of a source for Harvard keys? I got a very clean pair of blued Harvards, with the angled center keyhole, with a period case, on e-bay. The seller, not a collector, mistakenly claimed it came with an original key, but included an old universal.
They're otherwise so nice (no rust!), and the price was good enough, that I'm reluctant to return them.
I believe they'd would work just fine with a key. In the course of (very gently) trying a few keys, I managed to double lock them. No chance of absentmindedly snapping one on my wrist now, at least.

Why not just buy a pair of Harvard leg irons with original keys? they come up on ebay quite often and would probably be cheaper than replacement keys offered here.

Then you would have both handcuffs and leg irons for your collection.

Hello, I've original key for my Harvards, fits in all position. And in a one hole the key not come out same times. What is a mistake?

Thwe Harvard key is a little larger than a standard handcuff key, if a standard key is used to use the double lock ( I forget which way, lock or unlock the double lock) the flag on the tip of the key cannot move the activator fully into position and the key may pass and the sctivator springs back into position trapping the key in the keyhole.

The solution is to use a piece of wire to move the activator into position to free the trapped key.

This is fairly common when someone used a standard key in the Harvards.

Jens, what would you suggest the keys go to then if not these leg irons?

They look like they would meet mil spec dimensions etc.

I've one complete set of handcuffs and legirons, and I#ve never seen a other key.

I don't know what your relationship with Charlie is. I want you to know he died on wed 6/24 He was rushed to Brigham and Women's Cardiac ICU but the best team in the world couldn't save him. I'm his roommate. I only looked at his e-mail after his passing to try to notify his friends
