Hi
I recently sold a pair of handcuffs to a Canadian buyer. The item left the Swedish boarder within two days and arrived to Canadian customs not earlier than eight days later. According to tracking at Canada Post web site, the package has been processed by Canada Post for three days without any new scanning.
Tomorrow, the package has been in the mail for TWO weeks. From Sweden to the US (and vice verse), the delivery time is rarely more than a week.
Does anyone know if Canada Post is known for its very slow service or is it just an unfortunate coincidence?

To avoid any problems like this in the future, you are always welcome to send them to San Diego instead.

As a Canadian, I've waited for cuffs to arrive for weeks... From the US! So it's normal. They have always arrived in tip top shape though, and no shipment has ever been "lost" in transport.

Lars as a Proud Canadian I can assure you that your shipping problem is "Business AS Unusual"(SIC). Generally Canada Post does not Really LOSE Parcels/Mail. Probably just temporarily misplaced an entire Truck or Container load of Mail. This is not an exclusively International Shipping problem. Happens regularily to Domestic Mail. Can. Post has a Monster Distribution Center called "Gateway", one of the World's Largest, just to the West of Toronto in Mississauga. Most/All? International Incoming and Outgoing Post passes thru Gateway also known as the "Blackhole" of Missing Mail, LOL !!. Personal experience talking unfortunately!
