Are there any leo's that visit in here and if so i have another question about guns. Does the Glock 21 sf fit in the same duty holster as a regular glock 21? Sorry for getting off the handcuff subject but im not really sure were and whp to ask because every police forum i've found you have to be an leo to sign up. thanks for any and all info.

The 21 SF should fit and regular Glock 21 holster. The "SF" or short frame part of the glock is a slimmer grip frame design for the .45 ACP. Using a double stack magazine, the were able to slim the grip down to make it less bulky. The grip has nothing to do with the way the gun fits in a holster. With the slimmer grip frame it might even make it a little quicker to draw out of a holster....maybe. I hope that helped out a little.

Thanks Frank for the info. I knew the grip was little smaller in size, but wasn't sure if that would affect the way any of the internal locks on the holsters work. Being that its just the grip thats smaller and not the trigger gaurd or anything else for that matter, your right when you say that they should work in a 20/21 holster. Are you a leo? If so what king of gun do you carry and what holster retention do you have or prefer?

Not a problem at all. No, I am not a LEO. I have a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and it was my intention but an injury while in the service put an end to that.

After the injury I started my own custom leather business. I make saddle, holsters, and just about anything else. I make some CCW holsters and a lot of cowboy action shooting holsters.

I am a true fan of single actions. I carry either a single action .45 revolver or a 1911 .45. They all sit in my own leather. As far as (LEO) retention holsters for semi-autos. I prefer the dual retention kydex, not the triple retention holsters. I worked 6 years as armed security and have tried a lot of different holsters prior to my injury.

For a CCW holster, I prefer not to have a retention device on them at all. If you want to talk further about this, let me know and I can get you my personal email address.
