CHICAGO POLICE HANDCUFFS ?

I like much the handcuffs CHICAGO 1100 Chain Stainless Steel and CHICAGO 1200 Hinged Stainless Steel. I wants to know if you know if these handcuffs can be used like handcuffs of police force ?

As long as you don't need NIJ approval, either of these cuffs is OK. I would go with the Chicago X33, which is NIJ approved.

Don't get confused because these handcuffs are stamped "Chicago". They are NOT used by Chicago P.D. nor are they made in Chicago. They are made in Taiwan by the same company that makes HWC handcuffs. Chicago P.D. uses Smith & Wesson and Peerless cuffs. That's what is standard issue at Kale's uniform in the city. There is only one company that is near Chicago that sells/distributes handcuffs http://www.tacticalsteel.com/.
They are out of University Park Illinois which is south of Chicago. They distribute the "Winchester" handcuffs, however, I don't believe they are made there.

I think Hiatt-Thompson is still in the Chicago area. Winchester cuffs are made in Taiwan.

The Winchester handcuffs are made by the same people who make HWC, Valor, and the Chicago Brand of handcuffs. The only difference is that the company never submitted the cuffs for NIJ approval, same manufacturer off the same production line, just a different name stamped on them is all.

Dorson, The swivel on Winchester are not identical on Chicago, HWC, and Valor. On Winchester they have more stronger.

Dorson, you are incorrect with your statement of HWC, Valor, & Chicago being the same product as the Winchester cuffs. The Winchester WN-40 IS NIJ APPROVED. The other models you mentioned are not. This makes the Winchester acceptable for police use.
