Handcuff keyhole covers

I apologize if this has been previously discussed, there is a long history in your forum. I'm very facinated by Santini's keyhole cover handcuff designs.http://handcuffs.org/santini/ I have been trying to find similar designs, but so far have failed to find modern handcuffs with internal or external keyhole covers built as part of it. My searches keep bringing up handcuff covers. Such as the bluebox I understand to be one of Santini's designshttp://www.handcuffwarehouse.com/haitmod70blu.html

Have any companies tried to incorporate keyhole protection in their modern handcuff models, either internal or external, and if not, any idea why? I'm aware of the high security handcuffs with custom keys and advanced locks and the possibility that with hinged and rigid cuffs there may not be a market for built in keyhole covers, but I would like to hear your thoughts. There is a modern Chinese leg iron that has a keyhole cover. The lock body is round, and there is a plate with two Philips head screws that can be screwed over the keyhole. The cuffs use a cruciform key, and the tip can be used to remove the cover screws.

There are appropriate handcuff key covers on the market. Which I believe were developed by Steve Santini ?

There is the Plastic Blue or Black Handcuff cover that could just be padlocked over the handcuffs with or without a belly chain.

And for Chained Handcuffs comes another Santini invention in the Steel Blue box that covers the hinge as well as the key holes.

Just my thoughts..
