Not a very helpful response.

I actually own both cuffs, can't testify for extended use, but would like to say that they are nearly identical.
Both are NIJ certified, in terms of quality, they feel the same, the only real difference I see is that the model 700 is made in the USA, whereas the P010 is made in Korea.

In terms of price, the P010 is cheaper.

If anyone has a professional opinion to add, please do.
Other than that, I think they are just the same cuff made in different places.

Same design, but:

The P010's are manufactured in South Korea by hard-working, skilled craftsmen.

The 700's are manufactured in the USA by lazy, uneducated Philistines.

In my opinion, the model 700 in the gray box was slightly better than the P010 but the new 700 in the new window box is slightly worse than the P010. Even the key looks to be cheaper made on the new 700 batches.

I suspect Peerless is just doing market research to see if off-shoring will work. Phase it in optionally, and if sales are adequate, there goes yet another century-old American icon.

Peerless's margins between the two are probably a lot higher than the prices reflect, but from a consumer perspective, I personally would not support the idea just to save $2.

The only thing that I can add - is the Korean P010 handcuffs have a raised "horizontal dimple" on each cuff (front & back) - where the clevis meets the cuffs.

Other than that, they are 99% identical.
