Morning folks!!!

The Goncz Ultra-Lock Gen.II is finished and ready for manufacturing. New Characteristics, new ergonomically and humanly designed. This cuffs are guarantied is unpick able... I shared some info with Mark and he is impressed.

I am still offering the challenge to pick it.

I will produce 12 sets. / That all. / To cover the cost of manufacturing they are offered at $2,000.- a pc. The serial Number 1 to 4 is pre-sold.

If there is indeed a "challenge"...

Is there a "contest entry fee" to attempt to pick these open? - or do you have to pay 2G to "buy-in" for the opportunity?

If someone sucessfully opens them, is there a "prize", and if so, WHAT?

This challenge was already accepted and the cuffs are expected to be at The Indy Lock Show on April 21st. Are the cuffs still going to be there? The deal was, I pick them, I keep them........are we still on??? I am prepared to pop their cherry and photo and or video document everything. Let me know.

Vince,

There is no entry fee. The $2,000.- will buy you one of the handcuffs. If you pick it !!!??? You keep it and I am buying the Dinner.

The detailed rules I left to Mark and you guys to hash it out as who will be the first... second etc. There should be some fee to participate in it, which we shall donate to the War Orphans.

There is also the challenge money initially was $25,000.-, but as of now nobody put it up... So if you guys want to lower it????

Remember, it is costly to make 12 pair as they need to be wire EDM and manually assembly etc. that will cost me over $10,000.- plus I have to make some on the time I spent designing it.

So is up to you guys to set the parameters.

Make it fast as at 250 posting this thread will be shot down. Ha, Ha, Ha,.....

I cannot believe how pointless this challenge is.
The original Goncz handcuff is/was claimed to be unpickable. Documentation and Gonczs website said the same thing.
People have already claimed to have picked that model/s cuff. This is the cuff that Mr Goncz claims to have sold thousand for actual use. Therefore, all claims of unpickability been proven wrong.
Now Mr Goncz claims he has ACTUALLY built the unpickable cuff (making no mention of why the earlier claims to the production model were either misleading or false) and he has only made 12.
If this 12 is not part of a production run for sale to professional security or law enforcement departments, then I think the whole concept is just a folly for the maker and those foolish to be involved.
To ignore any challenge would be a real and only win for common sense.

Goncz, you should be in sales, not an inventor; your bait and switch routine would do well in selling time shares but not in selling this cuff.

So, now there is a picking fee, the cuffs went from costing $250.00 to $2,000.00, the absurd $25,000.00 challenge thing seems to have resurfaced after it was shut down on the last thread, and the war orphan fund raising drive is back in full force. I am going to assume that the picking fee is $1,999.99 and IF you pick it, you can keep the cuff.......

You sir, can keep your cuff, I wouldn't want it near my REAL treasures.

I have a nice heavy duty semi-vintage strait jacket I plan to take to the Indy Lock Show to sell......but I think goncz needs it more than any of my potential buyers. The type of insanity he has exhibited here on this site is worthy of a jacket and a padded cell.

Thats my opinion... Here are some more facts.

The fact you are asking for large cash deposits on a handcuff that doesnt even exist outta be enough reason for people to open their eyes and see what is really happening around here.

Your credibility is shit with me and alot of collectors I know til you pay my friends back. You owe Tanner and you recently scammed George out of $200.00.

What kills me is that you would rather list the same handcuff every week on ebay over and over again. You rather pay a dollar a week in fees instead of squaring away with people? 7 months of that John. Do the math. Are you really a gypsy? Thats the type of stuff really cheap ass people do. You know the kind of people John.... the ones you make fun of. Are you one of "them". It sure appears so.

You ever think maybe if you start honoring deals you agree to and quit ripping people off... then maybe then your luck will change?

I know several well known collectors who arent buying anything from you til you pay these guys back. I was ready to make a few deals with you till you ripped off George. Then I knew the Tanner stories were legit. Hopefully you change your ways soon.

Well it was my wife he ripped off 200 dollars I have sent many emails asking him to just return the money to her and i still havent got it.. Well, The house is on Fire:

The Unpick able handcuffs that are claimed is still exist. The new design incorporates more features and that was is for the challenge.

Some jokers are saying they will not buy my handcuffs!!! The fact is that I am out of them. The best collection Mark have them and if a deal is to be made: He is the guy.

As to george either he sends the shipping costs or the Hell freezes over: which ever comes first, that it will be shipped out. That is it... ( I received info's that this guy owes to quite more people promises to be filled.)

As to tanner issue I addressed before, but as can see he posted here again as anno....

As to challenge : The guys with high voices : Participate or stand on the side line. I offered the proceeding to the orphan... any body have a problem with: say it!!!

It looks like we got intelligent postings, that makes sense and they are from Christians, I am proud of all of you guys.

At the same time there are all the degenerates, low life's, inbreeds, with IQ under 60 are present to.

Soon I will have the new design posted as soon as I can find out, how to do it. Perhaps i will send it to mark as he is a Computer Genius and he will post it.

Considering you're back at it running your mouth again John and doing so to someone who will be at Indy. I can assume that you will not be attending Indy in person with your make believe un-pickable handcuff. I believe you to be a coward who uses your computer to hide behind. Bring the cuff in person to Indy, if it's not picked I'll pay the $2000 myself. I find that to be reasonable as that is what you're marketing it as. I dont buy a car without test driving it first.

Here is a question that I believe should have been asked and perhaps it was and I just missed it. To Mark Lyons...you've apparently had the most exposure to this design, do you believe it could be picked? I don't need to throw out the obvious candidates who lead the pack in being most capable as I'm certain you know them. Other than yourself I can think of 3 individuals who's names come to mind and haven't been mentioned. Mark you voulanteered to be a sort of mediator (dumb idea in my opinion) so I find you opinion on the matter to be extremely relevant.

I would find it quite humurous either way, If it's picked then John should hang his head in embarrassment never to speak on this forum again. If its not, then one guy put many others to shame and we have a great handcuff available to collectors. Its really a win/win.

Oh, and Goncz, speaking of IQ, If your's is anything like the way you childishly attack others, I got $1000.00 to say you'd fail to empty a boot of urine, even if the instructions to do so were imprinted on the sole.

And if you ever decide to resume your Ritalin, call me, and I'll give you some pointers of how to design cuffs, minus all this quarter mill' CAD/CAM baby crap.

Hi all,

Here is what I know:
I contacted John Goncz in October when another collector attempted to buy up some of the remaining cuffs and that deal never materialized. I found Goncz to be an interesting guy and quite personable. He showed me pictures of some of the guns he invented and told me how he made a name for himself in the movie industry. As a cuff collector, competitive shooter, and with a degree in film production, I was fascinated with the life and times of John Goncz.

As soon as I posted that I acquired some of his cuffs and these were available for sale of trade, the stuff hit the fan on this forum. We had record breaking postings and much of it was filled with four letter words that I have never seen in the forum before.
I thought I would be able to share some of the ideas about handcuff design that Goncz developed, but no one was interested in this. The forum became a free-for-all hate-fest. Some uglyness from both sides resulted, as we all know.
I asked Goncz to see what it would take to settle up with the people that claim were owed cuffs. He is way on the other side of the coin from the people who feel ripped off. I doubt very much that a solution will be found anytime soon.

I did try to mediate between all parties as I am friends with everyone in this conflict and wanted to help to the best of my ability. Joshua, perhaps I was dumb in my attempt to mediate this, but I really wanted to help everyone settle their differences and make this site the happy place it once was. All I can say is that I tried.

As far as the challenge goes, I don't really know how difficult this will be. No one can deny the fact that Goncz is an excellent gun maker. In case you did not know, almost every gun ever pointed at Arnold Schwarzenegger (on film) has been a Goncz. His guns are frequently on the cover of Shooter Digest or other publication. He is praised by gun enthusiasts for creating such cool looking guns with many never seen before innovations. The guns command very high prices. Can he make a handcuff that is pick proof. I don't know! We are in the presence of so many talented escape artists, that the answer does not lay with me. A challenge seems to be the only way to know for sure.

Goncz has discussed some ideas with me that seem to make picking very unlikely. I have little doubt that he can make a cuff with enough precision and with such new locking concepts to keep the challenged locked up for a good while. On the other hand, we have people like Ian who offered to send one of my Medeco padlocks back to me in an opened state. I have seen Joe Fox open all kinds of cuffs with the same ease as breathing. Many others like John Bushey can make tools and know the intricacies of cuffs. Can they open whatever Goncz can create? I am just as curious as anyone else.

As far as Goncz making the cuffs, it takes money and I happen to know that he is working on a project that requires all that he has for the time being.

I do not know if he will make them or not at this stage. Not many could or would want to put up money on this challege, so this very well could be the end of such a challenge for now.

I am trying to stay neutral in all of this. I am friends with all and intend on keeping it that way. I do know that the bad language and name calling needs to stop. It needs to stop now. It is a cancer that keeps spreading. Goncz is not one who can keep this inside and he will reciprocate any negativity directed to him in a heart beat. Everyone else jumps on him when he does. Maybe he started some of it, maybe he didn't, but Joe L. is the one who needs to figure out when enough is enough.
This is a lose/lose here.

I ask EVERYONE to settle down and stop the bad behaviour. I really does make all of us look foolish.

I hope Goncz will one day make his cuff available for a challenge and win or lose, it gets the proper test.

Mark, you are a good man but you are in a bad place at the moment. goncz most certainly brought all this crap on through his actions, threats, use of profanity, lies, fake challenges, etc. You say his guns command really high prices and that he has made and sold a lot of them? Well, money shouldn't be a problem for him! So why is he demanding all this money for a challenge he claims is fool proof in his favor? I think this whole thing is a publicity stunt to get people so curious about his cuffs that they will buy them. Before all this hub-bub, his cuff was just another modern swing-thru with a standard key that hardly anybody here would seek out to collect.......now everyone is in an uproar about them. This whole thing is Gotcha handcuffs all over again but on steroids! A (claimed) pick-proof cuff that the company will not allow to be tested, an over priced product line that will never make it to production, and a company owner that, according to some people here, has taken money for products that has never been sent out and ignores the buyers when they demand their money back! The only real difference is the owner of Gotcha never came here and threatened to give everyone golden showers, insulted people's religions, bring the Holocaust into the argument, ramble on in several different languages, etc. (too many things to mention)

I would encourage everyone who reads this to not drink the Kool-Aid john goncz is trying to serve us. Don't buy goncz brand cuffs or any of his other products.

However, I do think goncz was on point about one thing; my IQ! I must have a low IQ to keep wasting my time answering his posts AND to keep bantering back and forth with a certain asshole from Australia who keeps on sending me nasty e-mails (about this thread and other things that are not his business) so people here can not see what an asshole he really is and how much he like to stir up trouble. I won't mention his name but I will say it is not Paul Davies.
