I don't have the cuffs yet, but have heard that a Hiatt Darby key doesn't work. If someone knows the threads per inch for the key I will try to make one on a lathe. The cuffs arrived, but none of my Hiatt darby keys will work. Hiatt keys are too short and the wrong size (the bolt in the FWSM cuffs is larger in diameter).Anyone know the specifications for a key for FWSM Darby Cuffs? I don't have the cuffs yet, but have heard that a Hiatt Darby key doesn't work. If someone knows the threads per inch for the key I will try to make one on a lathe. yes i also have 3 marked and maybe 2 unmarked set's & my Hiatt keys don't work although i only have 3 of them and there small darby's, i think joe must have larger Hiatt's or smaller FWSM's,if u have some try a froggatt key but be careful as the FWSM'S is a little courser thread,don't force it, u can also thread a piece of copper tubing of the right size into them and pull it back releasing the latch, u have to pull it back because there isn't a shoulder on the tubing!Anyone know the specifications for a key for FWSM Darby Cuffs? Thats prob. what it is,as it took a longer key to fit my NICHOLS, one of my marked FWSM's came with what i believe is a true FWSM key & would explan why most don't have keys,it's shaped like a FROGGATT or a R.C.S. on the thumb-index finger part but the etching goes all the way around this part above the hole unlike how it makes a oval on HAITT or FROGGATT,anyway below the thumb-finger tab it narrows a lot and then has a small ball like appendage, i think a lot of them broke at that point,loosing the tab! just my thought!Anyone know the specifications for a key for FWSM Darby Cuffs?
