on recent trip to flea market i picked up 2 pairs of cuffs one set peerless no model number but it has a corner stamp with logo and trademark registered on one cuff the patent # is 1531451-1872857

the other is set of american munitions chain link their engraved lbsphq 33 on both cuffs

My guess would be that the Peerless would sell for $15-$25; the American Munitions from $25-$40.

I hope you got a good deal, but I have found few cuff bargains at flea markets.

I'd say the peerless corner stamp would sell for $35 minimum as long as it is not engraved. And it could easily go for more. Is it chain or hinged?

Thanks for the quick replies the peerless are the chain version with no engravings I picked them up for 20 a piece the peerless has the original key I believe. I emailed Chrisgills from peerless to attempt to get info on them

That's not the corner stamp I have but if someone can email me I'll send pic of it to post here still can't figure out the photo bucket. Its got the 3 point swirl logo with trademark registered

A peerless model 3 nickel like this would probably sell between 50-75 dollars on ebay. Seen em go higher and seen em go lower but it's a middle of the road ballpark.

Any idea what time line those where made? Are they from right before peerless switched to laser engraving the cuffs? I have a set of 301 that are marked 301 but laser etched and not stamped. I was aware they made the chain version with this corner stamp but i don't recall if they where model 300 or 500 or both. Peerless has so many variations of cuffs its hard to keep up with all of them. Thank you for postings the pictures Blackburn, much appreciated.

I'm not 100% sure when they made them. I have 3 hinged that have the corner stamp. They all say 301. They all have low 4-digit serial numbers. I think These Corner Stamped were probably an earlier version of a 301. I believe the laser engraved 301's were the last variant of a 301 ever made.

I have 2 peerless 303 leg irons that also have the corner stamp. I have not ever laid eyes on a 503 with a corner stamp although in a post I created about corner stamped peerless a while back, someone said they had one once, but sold it and didn't have a picture.

I have never seen a 300 corner stamp. If you have One I'd Like to see it.

The 300s or pre 300s were all mechanically stamped. The last 300s were mechanically engraved and have a different look to them. They actually say model 300 on them. Then of course with the 500s they were first mechanically engraved, like the corner stamped models them the last ones were lazer etched.

The Peerless handcuffs you described and the photo Blackburn posted is a Peerless model 3 version 2.The difference between the model 3 versions 1 & 2 are the patent numbers stamped on the cuffs.
Version 1 has:
PATENT
1157135 - 1161562 - 1531451
MADE IN U.S.A.
Version 2 has:
PATENT
1531451 - 1872857
MADE IN U.S.A.
The corner logo is the same on each.
On the Peerless model 3 version 3 there were several modifications made including the elimination of the Peerless logo. They did not use the Peerless logo on versions 3 - 8, on the lightweight model or on the model 4.
They introduced the new circular logo with PEERLESS MADE IN U.S.A. with the model 400.
