during the financial problemms i have to sale more items i want

Dear Patrick,

this is no clejuso 12 bayerse since those are a much newer pattern which just uses the same old key instead of the standard tube-shaped-key.
Yours are a forerunner of the 12 and the 12 "bayerse" and is a real collecting item.

I know there is a rarer one out there, but not quite sure what it looks like.

Hello,

this is about one seventieth (1/70) of my collection, please see photographs below.

From top to bottom #1, #2, #3, #4

#1 is the one patrick shows above.

#2 and #3 are the same except the keyhole for a solid key (#2) and a tube-shaped-key (#3). The solid-key-pattern (#2) is the one called to be used in bavaria (Bayern) which is a German "Land" around Munich and Nuremberg comparable with a state of the United States of America.

#4 is the newest pattern with keyhole acces from either side.

#3 comes in two different sizes (shown is the smaller size) and in two different finishes each (plated and stainless steel which is shown here). All of them are part of my collection.

#1 also comes with a chain link instead of the swivel shown here and which I possess too.

I have your photo number 1, listed as a model 12R.
Your photo number 2, I have listed as model 12.
Photo number 3, I show as a model 12 Inox (Rust Free)

In my notes, I listed a 12 S as the Bavarian Special Cuff.
What is the difference between a 12 Inox and a 12 S?
Also the cuff I picked up at the convention is a 12Inox but with 3 links.
Picture number 4 is a model 9

Martin,
I also noticed that the dimple (to lock the bow to the body) is much larger on your number 9 than on all of the other 9's I have seen.

Dear Mark

Yes, of course, number 4 ist a so called model 9, but in comparison with other pictures I can't agree that the locking button of mine is larger than usual.

As stated above, the number 2 picture is the Bavarian Special Cuff. It is a Clejuso model 12 (Inox), see picture number 3, except the shape of the keyhole.

I have never seen a model 12 with three links, but a model "12R" (picture number 1) with three links as stated above.

It's no wonder I am confused!

Both of the below cuffs are marked 12 Inox and as you can see, one has a bit key and the other a barrel.
The barell key version has the 3 links and the Bavarian Special (2 link)has the bit key.

Do I have this correct? I need to change my handcuff notes as I thought the Special took the barell key, previously.

I thought the Special was the 2 link and the regular 12 was the 3 link. Regular, meaning it normally has 2 links but this one above happens to have 3.

To simplify, which is the Special Bavarian PD cuff....top or bottom of the immediately above photo?

Comparison of dimple in #9 Clejuso

Martin, this is what I was pointing to.
This really wouldn't call this a variation of the #9 cuff but at some point, the factory had a reason to change the design and make the dimple, whether it was larger or smaller.
I would assume they made it larger in more recent manufacturing as it appears to be more secure. On the other hand, maybe there was too much friction between the body and the bow, so they made the dimple smaller.

I am wondering why the long dimple should cause friction since its shape isn't straight but is a part of a circle like the groove of the bow.

Martin,
No, I was just taking a guess that MAYBE they shortened the dimple because the dimple was off center of the amount of pressure to make a large dimple caused the side plates to collapse slightly and the bow didn't glide easily.
By making a smaller dimple, the problems COULD be eliminated or reduced.

I am still puzzled by the Special 12 cuff.
Could you tell me if it is shown in the upper or lower cuff in the very last picture if the No. 12 cuffs?

Your comment about the 3 chain link through me off.

Hi

some of you asked me prices off the cuffs

whem i say what i think it is word i hear nobody
anymore

is the price what i ask to expensive (i think not)
or is it that we all whant something for free

i think it is the last option

i do not give items for free but for a nice bid
if you want something say what you want to pay
or give me a reason for it why you do not whant it anymore

for me it is guessing now

Mark,

The dimple on mine is the larger one as well and I never noticed that until you brought it up.

I bought mine from the handcuffwarehouse on their very first shipment.

The reason to why your sale goes bad is the bad
selection, totally uninteresting and common items
most collectors already have. You see, it's not a matter
of your prices - your cuffs are simply uninteresting.
