London’s “Davenport’s” magic catalog, - Peerless and Reliant Cuffs

The attached photos are from Londons Davenports magic catalog, circa early 1960sa major magic supply house of the day.

Note the double-bitted Peerless key.

Although the artwork is direct from Peerless, the key shown cant be for the handcuffs pictured because the double-bitt keys were made for 4 oz. Peerless handcuffs. The handcuffs pictured state 10 oz. Im sure (magician) customers didnt know, or care at the time, anyway.

Also of interest the (now rare) Hiatt Reliant handcuff!

Hi Joe, good to see more info on them. thanks. I think the double bitt key is just a print error (it's not in the middle either)

The white line on the Bitt is just the line drawing style - to imply shine.

I just love these old advertises. There also seem to be many more variations of the Hiatt swing-through cuffs than
I know of but I'm not the most knowledgeable on contemporary restraints.

Do you also have the heavy version of the Hiatt 1960?
