Manufactured cuffs for the federal gov't. Primary users Military Police and INS deportation officers. The story I heard is that they made pieces of saddlery and bridle material for the cavalry. Became a cuff manufacturer in a gov't contract basis. Old style Mil-Spec, start to rust when the wrapper is removed.

A lot of cuffs rust quickly, though it's not always consistent. Hiatts / TCH have had blued cuffs that rust at the drop of a hat. Quite disheartening. I have an American Hiatts rigid that has never rusted ever. Yet others I have had have rusted quickly. Including a TCH 850b. Thanks for the INS deportation info.

I am always on the lookout for any pictures of any examples in their original box, as there is a date on the outside label and by logging these, we can pinpoint what timeframe each model was made.

Those look AMAZING condition.
