Ian's version of the Flast Action Manacle

I just received my copy of Ian McColl's new original cuff, inspired by the Gill Flash Action Manacle. The cuff has the exact same outer profile of an Gill, but the body is quite different. Most significantly Ian's design features a standard Peerless barrel key instead of the flat bitted key of an orginal Gill. The cuff is made out of stainless steel and has a very smooth action.

My copy has serial number 002. Don't ask what happened to serial number 001. It is a sad, sad story.

I have #10, not a bad little cuff, great to finally have something when it is originally issued. So what happed to poor #1?

Dear Joe, I am glad you like the new cuff. As you have had in your hands both the #1 and now the #2 prototypes. The production models marked #3 onward do not have the two holes as in the photo. The holes were for pivoting the pawls of the mechanism but I thought it would make for a cleaner looking finish to the cuff to have the pivot point built into the internal mechanism.

It is a fake cuff.
Nobody cares about a piece of junk like this.
There is no history of it being used in law enforcement, the maker is a jerk and has nothing noteworthy about it.
Unless you are a fisherman, save your money on a less expensive fishing weight!

I don't think he is the dumbest guy in the world.
There are a few out there are which are way dumber than him!


Please consider that McColl is not the dumbest person in the world, but he better hopes that they don’t die first.
