Unknown (probably cheap) Swing-Through cuffs from Japan

From our recent vacation on the island of Bali (Indonesia), I brought back this pair of handcuffs. It was hanging in some travel store and was pretty rusted. Since I had not come across this type, I bought it for $15. It appears to be a rather common swing-through set of cuffs, marked "POLRI" and "Japan Steel". The chain links are not welded. Is anyone familiar with the logo?

I guess they're run-of-the-mill $2 cuffs, but I wanted them as a souvenir. Beats a straw hat or t-shirt.
The last pictures are at home after I cleaned them up a little.

These are made in Indonesia (not Japan).
POLRI = Indonesian National Police
The stamp on the lock case is from their logo.

I have a few pair of these if anyone is interested. They are made in different weights. The build quality is actually quite poor, not nearly as good as the boxed pic would suggest.

Here we have a matching pair of Indonesian POLRI Thumbcuffs on the bay. The POLRI line seems to have been inspired by the S&W 10x line with their expanded swivel base, DL slots and protruding rivet heads at the swivel joint. While not exactly a pair of Gill Lion Tamers in terms of quality, these still beat a pair of straw sandals or silly T-shirt hand(cuff)s down.
