A peek into the Gill Home

Thanks for the post Fred. He sure had a great collection. I wonder if these are the same ones he used for his tours and the collection he sold to the Davis Arms Museum in Claremore, OK?

Middle picture....
Next to the Burdick Leg Irons (4th cuff)is what looks like a Tower Bar LEG IRON.
I never seen or heard of one before.

It also shows up on the 3rd photo, 1st cuff from left.

It is hard to see, but there is a printed description next to almost every cuff.

When John Bushey and I took one of our tours seeing other collections.
The Davis Museum was on our list of collections to see.
We had Josh and Mark with us on that trip. We had spent a great deal of time at the Davis Museum taking a lot of photos.
Comparing photos we had taken and photos of the Gill Collection. I would say there is about ninety percent of the Gill handcuff collection on display there. What a great collection!!!
I was interested in seeing the Trudel stuff Gill had in his collection and most of that was there too.

Yea, what a trip. The guns were also amazing, although our sites were set on the cuffs and that's where our cameras were aiming.
Fred, Joshua, and I had our photo taken on a tank outside the museum. I must admit the thought crossed my mind of starting it up and
plowing through the building to get at some of those cuffs! Mark Lundblad had the idea to visit the collection, and after the Davis museum we saw a friend's collection in St. Louis, MO and met up with another old timer with a large collection. Mark and I bought a small collection from a
friendly older gentleman north of St. Louis.

Fred - Fantastic acquisition in getting the photos of Gill's collection prior to it being in the Davis museum. If you intend to display your
stuff on walls you need a bigger house!
