Another great time at Indy!

Well, if you missed Indy this year you missed another great time. As always, it was fun hanging out with other cuff collectors, sharing stories, making new friends, and having the opportunity see (and play with) some rare pieces you may not have in your collection. But mostly it was about the camaraderie among the cuff/restraint collectors - something you'll have to experience to understand. So if you haven't been there, I urge you to do your best to make it to next year's.

I'm back in Belgium and will upload some pictures when my jetlag is gone.
TSA did a security check on my suitcase and packed each cuff in an individual plastic bag. I guess they weren't interested in a Walden, H&R legiron or Prov. Tool Company...

Indy was a great time. It was wonderful to see everyone and I think almost everyone went home with a new item for their collections.

John Bushey did an awesome job with his talk/performance on the McKenzie Mitts (two sold at the show!!!)

Thanks to everyone for bringing their rare items to show. Where else would you see three ER handcuffs and two Guiteau handcuffs in one place.

Man I am so bummed I couldn't make it. I actually thought this might be the first year for me since it's only a 5 hour drive but I've been working 6 days at my job and couldn't swing it.

Don't know what happened to my previous post (I hope Joe ain't mad at me!). I am so mad that I didn't make it this year! Trees and houses seem to be running a back luck streak for me! This is the second tree that I have had to take care of with this house! Fortunately, over the weekend, I moved, so I won't have other trees that I have to deal with....landlord will be dealing with trees!! Thank you to Peter for contacting me on Skype and letting me chat with a few of the guys there!

NEXT YEAR!!!!! I don't care if aliens land in my parking spot and want to suck out my brain (oh, wait, I think my teenager has already done that!), I will be there next year!!!!!!

Hello everyone. Thank you to everyone for making my trip a great adventure just when I needed one.
It was fantastic seeing so many friends and talking, let alone seeing all the wonderful items everyone
brought to show, and in some cases sell. Paul--thanks for the Romer padlock! Thanks to Mauri for
the numerous darcy's I bought (LOL). I hope we can all meet again next year, and even more of you
will be able to make it. A huge thank you to Mark Lundblad for kindly getting all my display items to
Indy and back again. Things I didn't buy, but wanted to:
1. A Russian padlock identical in shape and operation (but not size) to Houdini's Russian Manacle. It
had a padlock shackle instead of handcuff bows.
2. A Fantastic Bramah key, which shows that Bramah did make a double bramah lock, with inner and outer
sliders.

It was great meeting Annaliese, Joshua and Sarah's daughter. To all the attendees, as well as the lock
collectors there, thanks for a very nice weekend.
