#1I came across these cuffs while cleaning out my father in-laws garage (2 sets - one fixed and one adjustable). Looking at the different photos on this site, they look very much like the Indian - late 1900's.
Since I know absolutely nothing about antique handcuffs, I have two questions; does "late 1900's mean that they are closer to 1909 or 1999?
These seem to be very crudely made which would seem to indicate that someone was trying to make them look old. The patina does seem to indicate some age, and I would have to believe that they have been burried in a box since the early eighties. Can someone tell me if these are reproductions or the real McCoy? Either way, I will hang them on the wall - they look cool.
