Mirror Cuff on the History Channel

I happened by the program "101 Objects That Changed the World" last night on the History Channel and surprisingly, Houdini's Mirror Cuff was object number 73, right after the wedding ring. The cuffs, keys and display board in Copperfield's collection were shown by David. The program labeled Houdini as "the first international super star". Interesting that the Mirror Cuffs rank up there with the wedding ring and King Tut's mask. I tried to find a link to the show to post, but no luck.

The show is scheduled to repeat on May 28 at 5 and 9 PM PDST on Direct TV Channel 271. Check your local times and channel.

I saw it too...

I was happy, but surprised to see the Mirror Handcuffs.

I would have much more expected to see the revolutionary 1914 Peerless SWING-THROUGH design handcuff - which immediately made most all other cuffs...obsolete.

Several nice close-up views of the Mirror cuffs were shown, but as seems to be always the case - the key was never shown by itself (it was always shown inserted in the cuff).

I managed to see this, although sometimes US TV content is blocked for those outside the US. Nice to see the museum, and on the same page there is an area where you can view some still pictures, and there are a couple of nice stills of the cuffs there. 2 more to add to my collection, and another chance to compare with my replicas!
