#13I recently listed a cuff on eBay. I can't complain about the sales price, it was ok. The problem is that I offered PayPal. As I have not sold anything on eBay for 90 days, I'm no longer thrust worthy in the eyes of eBay.
My fund will therefore be frozen for up to 21 days! I've been a member on eBay since 2002, all with 100% feedback; both as a seller and a buyer.
eBay obviously think I have become a fraud risk as I've not been SELLING anything for less than 90 days.
If any of you are planning to sell cuffs on eBay and haven't sold anything for 90 days, ask for another payment method than PayPal.
eBay sucks and so does PayPal!

Dorson, you are completely right! PayPal is now a bank and its own profit center! The sellers are the contributors who are forced to lend their money for free.
The problem with eBay/PayPal is actually based on the outdated US bank system. As I understand, PayPal is also the payment system for domestic business and you are more or less forced to use PayPal and pay the transaction fee (3,4%).
You can imagine how much money eBay is making; first you pay for the listing, then a percentage of the sales price and finally they make money on your payment. The listing and sales percentage is fine with me, the payment commission and control of the fund is certainly not!
Within all European countries, members of the European Union, you can make a money transfer that cost about $1,50.
The transfer is easy to make and it normally takes only two days to get to the receivers bank account. This money transfer is made by logging in to your bank account on your banks website. Its easy and only takes a few minutes to complete. You only need the sellers bank information as IBAN and BIC.
For example:
IBAN: SE9560000007105949527953 (Your account in international number)
BIC: SWEDSESS (Your bank's international alias)
When selling from a European country to a buyer in Europe, money transfer is much better than PayPal as you don't have to pay an additional commission, the total cost for the buyer is only $1,50. There is no commission paid by the seller. This is the reason to why many eBay sellers in Europe don't accept PayPal. A European money transfer is quicker, cheaper and free of hustle.
If the US had the same modern bank system as we have in Europe, PayPal would die over night as it would be no longer needed. eBay would also lose the control to hold seller's funds as the payment is made out of their control, directly between the buyer and seller. The seller ships as soon the money has arrived and no funds has to be frozen. The seller's feedback is good enough to judge if the seller is thrust worthy or not.
Again; eBay and PayPal sucks!
