Williamsburg, Va Trip

I will be traveling to Williamsburg, Virginia next month and would like to see some crime and punishment devices along with period restraints.

Do any of you know of any particular museums or places where I can see such things?

I am open to seeing unrelated attractions as well if anyone has been there recently and can advise me of some must see places and things
