Genuine Palmer #4 Manacles For Sale

Hello all, I am selling my gimmicked (for magician's or escape artist's use) Palmer #4 manacles if anyone is interested. These Palmers were owned by a famous escape artist whom I will not name on this public forum unless he wishes to speak up. The EA who owned them, used them in several of his dangerous escapes including a couple that were featured on television. These can be locked on the magician or EA, spectators can check them and pull on them......they are locked solid! Then at the moment the hands are out of sight, the performer is free! Many of the collectors here on this forum have had the pleasure of seeing these cuffs in person over the years......they were truly a crown jewel of my meager collection. These are genuine Palmer manacles (circa~1876) and are a rare collector's piece on a couple of different levels. Palmers are extremely rare and come up for sale far less often then cuffs like the highly sought after Bean Giant. Also, it is very unusual to find such rare cuffs that have been expertly gaffed for use by magicians and modern day Houdinis. These also come with a reproduction key that was purchased at Cannons Great Escapes before they went out of business.














*Please note that the silver areas on these cuffs are ORIGINAL plating still left behind, NOT polished steel!!! These cuffs have only been wiped down with a soft cloth since I have owned them and have never (to my knowledge) been polished.

The price is $1,500. (USD) plus shipping, extra insurance is at your discretion. Payment via cashiers check or money order, and it will need time to clear before I can ship. PayPal is possible but you will need to add 5% of total payment in order to use the PayPal option, however, I can ship them as soon as payment arrives if you do PayPal.
