griffin hand cuffs

Ive just bought these georgian? steel hand cuffs marked Griffin Birm . I dont know any thing about handcuffs I just admired the skill of manufacture. I havent got a key they lock both ends . I will be selling them on ebay soon , user name ibull123, any info would be appreciated. I cant find another pair the same on the internet. two Ds in a mirror image figure of eight no chain between, so your hands are stuck in one position. the two engraved leaf patterns on the ends would require a tubular key . locked both ends with no keys marked GRIFFIN BIRMm.

I know I would bid on it.
Sounds like an unusual model, but could be a standard cuff converted to a "solid state" figure 8.
I can put up a photo here for you, then offer an opinion.

According to Alex Nichols's Guidebook to Handcuffs, Griffin was a nineteenth century English firm which produced a range of restraints including plug eight handcuffs. The Guidebook has a photo of one of these but it has only one lock. It's typical of the standard design, hinged at one side and locked at the other. Griffin does appear to have produced one or two cuffs of unusual design so perhaps yours is one of those. As the other responder mentioned, a photo would be very interesting.
