In most cases, the original boxes and paperwork to the cuffs we own have been lost. Maybe if those who have an original box to a cuff could scan the box and post that scan or photo here. In many cases it's just a piece of paper attached to a cardboard box.

That would also allow many of us to recreate the boxes, the paperwork or maybe collate an overview of antique handcuff boxes in time. Feel free to save, cut and print these out.

Great topic!
I was going to write an article about this exact topic in a Handcuff Annual. (I haven't given up hope yet, Joe)
I collected quite a few photos of some nice cuffs and nippers which I hoped to share.
The computer that has these pics died some time ago but the hard drive is still good.
Hopefully, a new compuer will come into my life soon and allow me to post some pics here on your blog.
I also planned to include advertisements, user instructions, and original keys.
I will post 2 pictures of boxes that were recently acquired in the last year.

As we are talking about original boxes, let's finish with three original pouches for Maltby, H&R Super handcuffs and Bockin.
All of these cuffs have very specific design which mean the pouch has to be "tailor-made".

Hi Fred,

Thank you very much! The old "tailor-made" pouches are a little fun as they are so odd and only really fit one cuff model.
This is not a real topic in collecting as they once came together with the cuffs I bought.

It would be interesting to see if anyone else have any "tailor-made" pouches. Sorry, this is a side topic to the boxes
and paperwork.

I beg to differ… I think the pouches are very interesting it’s all part of the history of the handcuffs and being tailor made as you had pointed out makes them quite unique and collectable and I believe were still on the subject. I have not been fortunate enough to add any pouches to my collection at this time but one never knows?

Thank you again. I agree, the pouches are as interesting as the factory boxes as they are from the time when
the cuffs were used.

Modern cuff pouches are pretty much the same in design as modern cuffs are too. Maybe this is the reason to
why antique and vintage cuffs are so much more interesting than modern cuffs. The diversity! I might have some
more tailor-made pouches but I have to search through boxes in the basement to find them. When/if I find them,
I will post them here.

What did they do with an iron claw? Just grab someone & haul them to jail? Seems like a good way to get your clock cleaned.
