Tower & Lyon thumbcuffs

Tower Lyon thumb cuffs, early 1900, belonged to my friends father ( my friend is 76) so they are quite old. Read online they could be worth over $1000?
Looking to sell or get value assent. He needs the cash. They are in great shape/working order, keys not original.

Tower Lyon Thumbcuffs. In addition to their popular handcuffs and leg irons the Tower & Lyon Corporation also patented a thumbcuff in 1909. The Tower Lyon thumbcuff has a unique design quite unlike the much more common Gill design that appeared twenty years later.
The Tower Lyon thumb cuff has two "U" shaped shackles that fit into a central lock case. Both the shackles and the lock case are serrated to better hold the thumbs.

Here are the photos, along with a pair of antique knuckles, I believe them to be iron?

a photo is always better cause it can show so much. The cuff appears unplated (most are plated)
and pitted (but cleaned?, maybe bead blasted). Suspect you might get $350 for it.
