We thought it was about time to add some updated information about the upcoming European Convention in October.

This is the 5:th European Convention. This year the Convention is a mutual project of Michael Busch, Peter Pensaert and myself.
Our aim is to expand the Convention and make it more international. Therefore, we especially welcome our US fellow collectors.
We already have indications on a number of US collectors who are planning to attend. Thats great!

The Convention will be located in the beautiful city of Münster in Germany.
For overseas collectors; the Düsseldorf Airport will probably be the best destination. There is also an local airport in Münster (IATA code FMO).

Hey guys,

I was just wondering why this post didn't get any comments and I wanted to surely put it back on top of the Forum anyway so please don't blame me for putting it back on top.

This event is gonna be a blast because of the people (let me call them old-scool-collectors) who registerd already so if you are able to make it there, you'll just have to make that one big jump (no pun Marge) and cross the big old Atlantic ocean and come to the old continent :p.

If any of you US collectors wanna (hey, they didn't teach me this strange-sounding language in school so I can say 'wanna' without being blamed for it; I heard worse at Indy last year andno I won't call names because Joshua and Sarah drove me to the airport; woops ...).

Anyway, I know for sure now that I won't be at Indy this year so I hope you guys will have a great time there and who knows, through some strange intercontinental ways, there might be a chance of getting some of the good tasting Belgian chocolate-treats there again this year even if I'm not there. If any of you get a taste of those chocolates, you're expected to be at the Euro-con this fall (sorry I know it's a sales-pitch)

Plesae do us organisers of the Euro-con a favour and register early! We know some of you guys will be there anyway and this might turn the event in a 'Cannon-convention meeting kinda thing' (when it comes to numbers of collectorsattending) but I would really like to know way ahead who's coming.

Hi,

The Convention fee is 89 euro and includes lunch and dinner (drinks not excluded),
entrance to the Convention, interesting lectures, meeting fellow collectors etc. If you need a table,
there will be no additional cost.
We have to pay for the meeting room and the food which is covered by the convention fee. However,
as we borrow the tables for free, not using a table doesn't decrease the convention fee.

You will get a lot for 89 euro, I promise.

Hello all,

Last year I designed a rigid cuff made solely from laser cut stainless steel 4mm sheet material.
There are variations possible in what bow types to use and what locking mechanism to employ.
And it is fully dismountable, no welding or gluing.



If there are sufficient expressions of interest ahead of the convention I may be inclined to have another batch made, a batch being material for five. The image below shows want you would get. I probably would check that the parts can be tucked together. Although slightly smoothed probably, the lasercut edges are edgy, filing down to a round shape is up to the buyer.

If prices are similar to those from last year, expect a quite small three figure Euro sum.
The image below shows pretty much what you would get as Mark 1.1 puzzle parts.
You would pick up at Münster.

Hi all,

We thought it was about time to add some updated information about the upcoming European Convention in October.

This is the 5:th European Convention. This year the Convention is a mutual project of Michael Busch, Peter Pensaert and myself.
Our aim is to expand the Convention and make it more international. Therefore, we especially welcome our US fellow collectors.
We already have indications on a number of US collectors who are planning to attend. Thats great!

Although the final schedule is not yet set, we can promise a few very interesting lectures. The final program will be announced later.

We have tried to gather all information that we think is important in this stage. As we still might have missed something, don't hesitate to contact Michael, Peter or myself if you have any questions or inquiries.

The Convention location

The Convention will be located in the beautiful city of Münster in Germany.
For overseas collectors; the Düsseldorf Airport will probably be the best destination. There is also an local airport in Münster (IATA code FMO).

Trains are connecting the Düsseldorf Airport to the Münster main station. A one way ticket is about 25 EUR.

The Factory Hotel
The Convention and the hotel is the very same place, the four star Factory Hotel. The hotel is located close to the center of Münster.

Including:
