Hi all, as many of you know I have no interest in collecting cuffs these days and have sold off several pieces from my collection over the last couple of years. However, I had planned on keeping one of my display boards and leaving it intact (the Houdini display I brought to Indy in 2012). I am currently in negotiations to sell one of the cuffs from that board (the Bean Giant) and may just dismantle it all together; selling the remaining pieces if it goes. If anyone here has an interest in any of the pieces or the Lee Jacobs metal Houdini WTC photo, shoot me an email.

Hi, I have created a Photobucket account just for the cuffs I have for sale with much better photos (click on the link at the bottom of this post for the entire album).

Also, I have had a number of emails asking about the Darby leg irons, wanting more info, more photos, and the back story. Well, here it is in a nutshell:

These are Froggatt Darby leg irons dated to the late 1850's. The springs are very strong, the key is not original to the cuffs but is very old and far more practical than the original key. The chain is very long and would indicate these were worn over long periods of time (perhaps prison labor???). The ends of the lock tubes are marked with a V in the middle and have the usual Froggatt "V" peen marks all around the edge of the caps. The most interesting detail is the infamous "N.J" mark on the side of one of the bows. At the time I acquired these, I had no idea what it stood for, however, since then the mystery has been solved and it was good news for me. The N.J is the New Jersey proof-mark, given to military hardware (firearms and such) that were imported to the US to be used in the US Civil War. Basically, the N.J gives these leg irons providence as having been used in the Civil War. Here are some close-up photos:

I will be adding and deleting photos as needed and organizing them while adding descriptions & prices. Some are priced to move, others are priced right around current market value based on what I have been seeing on eBay and through other sales.

I have hundreds of padlocks, maybe even thousands, not sure so I can say without hesitation, everything has a price. If you see something that tickles your fancy, ask for a price.

*I can tell you that the huge padlock will have an enormous shipping price to go overseas.......it weighs a ton. BTW, I never charge above the actual shipping cost except to round the number up to the next dollar.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to give a quick update to clear some things up:

1. The glass topped display case shown in a photo towards the beginning of the post is for sale,
the things in it are NOT. I don't even have the cuffs that are in that photo anymore.

2. The photos of the display board initially posted here is of the completed board BEFORE
any cuffs were sold and removed so those photos are no longer accurate. *Please refer to
the Photobucket album to see any and all cuffs for sale. If a cuff gets put on hold,
I will post that info here. If a cuff gets sold, I will also post that info here AND I will delete
the photos of that cuff on the Photobucket album.

3. The Photobucket album is UP TO DATE, if there is a photo on the album, that cuff is still
FOR SALE. Also, there is a title on every single photo with a brief description AND a price.
Prices are all (USD) payable through PayPal and does NOT include shipping.

4. I ship through USPS with flat rate boxes. I can get two pairs of normal handcuffs in one box
on average. One box costs $8.00 to ship anywhere in the Continental US, Alaska, Hawaii, Purto Rico,
US Virgin Islands, etc. $16.00 will get the same box to Canada and $25.00 will get it most places overseas.
Please check with me to be sure on shipping prices before purchase.

I have had a few people asking about the markings on the English Darby handcuffs that I have up for sale but
I couldn't see them very good while they were strapped to the display board. When I removed the last set
that sold, I removed the Darbies as well to get some photos. Close-up photos of all the markings can now
be found on the Photobucket album.

really nice escape artist item as well; it is a David DeVal Squire 550
>TRICKED< padlock with both original keys. I bought this lock from
Wheeler/Tanner about 20 years ago and it still works great. See the

I have no interest or passion for cuffs anymore. I have plenty of

they sell, the better, but it doesn't matter to me......those who can't
stand my presence here on the forum would be better served if they sell
quick; I have more money than time to spend it right now so I could really
