Strangely marked H&R Bean Cobb

Hello fellow collectors,

recently I purchased H&R Bean Cobb handcuffs with a clearly stamped arrow mark. Was this model in official British police or military use?

I've been busy this time of year so have fallen behind in the fun stuff.

I didn't note if you got the ones on eBay with the arrow or not, but British, Canadians and Australians (the Commonwealth) all used what was referred to as the "Broad arrow" as a government acceptance mark in the late 1800's - early 1900s. You see it commonly on firearms of that era.

The set of H&Rs on eBay was coming from Canada. Couldn't tell you what agencies used the Broad arrow and which ones didn't, but some of our Canadian and Australian collectors may know.
