American Riveted Leg irons

These leg irons are very similar to the Australian type except for one big difference. The clevis has been attached as a separate piece. The Australian leg irons are, I believe, made to a pattern which includes an integral clevis, more precisely a hole punched through the bar which protrudes outward. The chain is long enough to allow the wearer to continue working.
