RIP Jack. What a great man he was always helpful, especially when I first got cats and knew little about them, he guided me through the ins and outs. His love of cats was the only thing exceeding his love of restraints. He will be sorely missed.

What a shame.

I too, ware a fan and enjoyed his contributions and humor.
I know he collected nippers mainly and sold off most of his collection in the last couple of years.
Among being a restraint collector, an animal lover and guitarist, he had many other interests.
I am glad I met him through this forum and got to write him for 8 or so years.
He will be missed in my world.

Very sad news indeed! Jack was always a man of great humor and a great contribution
to this site. I also know he sold his small collection of nippers and twisters a few years
ago but I could never imagine he passed. I believe he was a songwriter by profession.

I was lucky enough to buy some Hiatt Spurs from him a while back. They mean more to me now.

The death of Jack makes me very sad. Being a poet he loved the English language, and I could learn a lot from him, from his correspondence and from his postings here on the forum.

Jack was a brilliant man and his humour was the greatest, many times I was reading his replies on the screens while whipping tears from my eyes from laughter. His gift for the English language would have made his countrymen proud. He never told me when he left the UK for USA but I know he brought the humour with him.

If any family members find and read this be reassured that Jack leave his mark and it was one to be very proud of.
