from the photo's he has they look real, I would ask him if he could show a photo of the end cap's and a closer look at the key hole tubes!

Well, I kind of want to stay with early 19th cent. handcuffs/leg irons, are these in your opinions 20th cent.? I just don't know enough about adjustables what dates these. I will ask the seller to show some pics of the end caps and hinge plate area for marks. Thankyou for your responses.

I believe these are German cuffs - Clemen & Jung (Clejuso) long chain handcuffs from around 1930 or so.

Yossies are leg irons. These are supposed to be handcuffs? It's a very heavy and long chain for handcuffs. All I know is that they are not English.

Although the seller is calling them wrist cuffs & also iron shackles he says 4" dia. ?

He does list a phone number,so if I were bidding I'd call him MONDAY!
