Is this an old twister ?

Hello, needing some help.
I have given a significant amount for this exemple, assuming this is na antique piece and not a 20th century item.
When i received it, i realized it has some age but don't have the knowledge to judge by myself.
It would be nice if some member/s give me an opinion on this handcuff.

Your twister is from the 1930's to 1950's. The chain is not the original and has been replaced. The original would have smaller, heaver links and not an open end link. Hopefully you didn't pay a lot of money for this twister. There are several of these on eBay from time to time.
