The Status of the Forum

Recently there has been a series of spam postings here on the Forum. Every morning for the last several days I have had to delete such messages.

If this keeps up I will have to institute a log-in procedure for the forum. I would rather not do that, because it keeps legitimate new visitors away.

So please stop the garbage. You are going to ruin things for everyone.

It's Ian McCall and Rick Silmser egging on Steve Santini. I believe a lttle in house cleaning will remedy the problem. Everyone wants to make Santini out to be the bad guy when it's the likes of McCall and Silmser playing all the games to begin with. Time to grow up McCall!!!!!

I agree, there is way too mych spam on the net - we don't need to have it here also.

BTW I have gotten a "Nigerian" Letter from a Barrister, (in this case he really is a dirty attorney, or at least claims to be), the interesting thing was that he had my first and last name and the E-Mail went to my locksmith address,

I have only used such a combination on here, so looks as we are being harvested also.

Hello,
Two things, first the spam is automated for the most part, they have a bot or something like it that finds places to send spam. If logging in is what it takes to keep this from continueing, so be it...
Second, that letter from the barrister has been going around the net along with many other scams like it. Report it to the FBI, they are tracking it and this barrister et al no info whatsoever. I know of cases where people have been murdered in these scams at the worst and at the minimum, just lost money from the scam.
