In Google S&W catalog I have found a strange model "44 maximum security hinged". Double misprint or real?

That was a misprint in The Standard Catalog Of Smith & Wesson books by Supica & Nahas.

Yes, David is correct.
That misprint will confuse future historians!
The "1969" date jives with the introduction of the Model 94 cuffs..and they were not "hinged" either.
