French (?) training handcuffs

I have one cuff in my collection (their photo bellow) that I'm curious about - they look almost identical to the Rivolier training handcuffs but they differ to the old models in shape a little and from the newer ones that they don't have the stampings on the cheek plates - I couldn't find a photo of cuffs that are identical on the internet.

Are they of French origin or is this some high quality Chinese copy?
