My Hiat (yes with one T) handcuffs from Birmingam

I inherited from a great grandfather (lived in Birmingham), his detective handcuffs (Scotland Yard). They (both cuffs) definitely have Hiat spelt with one T. Under HIAT, it looks like PCS (not sure if a G or C).

What I am looking for is a screw key to suit?

The key barrel needs to be 1 1/4" long and 5/16 diameter (as measured from the hole in the cuff).

Can anyone help me as to find where I can buy a key (preferably an original)?

Also, unfortunately they were chrome plated in the seventies and the buffing must have worn off the finer markings, what technology should I be looking for to have the worn off stampings detected?.

1 1/4 seems very long? what Max dia and TPI??

I cannot tell the threads per inch, as its down inside the hole in the handcuff.
The hole is 1/32 larger than 5/16 so a 5/16 diameter key should suit.
I measured from the highest portion of the hole down inside the cuff to the lowermost depth adjacent the male screw and its 1 1/4 deep.
I measured from the highest portion of the hole down inside the cuff to the top of the male screw and its about 9/16 deep.

So I guess the key would not need to be 1 1/4 deep but at least 3/4 long to be able to engage on the male screw thread.
