Some of us have decided to attend the Lancaster, PA padlock show.
So, here is the info should some of the rest of you decide to join
us!

assure the Lock show room rate.
It's at the Lancaster Host Resort and Convention Center:
2300 Lincoln Highway East
Lancaster, PA 17602

If you don't want a table, you can still get in early. The early bird special
is $20 at the door. The dealers set up at noon on Friday, July 17th, a Friday.
Early birds get in at 2:00pm that day and the doors are open until 5:00pm.
The next morning, the main day of the convention, early birds get in an hour
before the doors are open to the public. We hope to see some of you there.

So far, at least seven of us are attending, from MN, MI, CA, NY, PA, and NJ. If you are going to attend,

Just wondering what any of you were quoted per night for the rooms.
I was confirmed for roughly $100 per night.
I thought I saw prices in the $75 range.
Not a big deal but had to ask.

Wow! All these handcuff collectors converging on Lancaster, PA.

I'll be there all day on Saturday the 20th. I look forward to meeting you all in person. For lunch, I'm tempted to enjoy the sushi buffet @ The Star (handcuffs) Buffet & Grill located just down the road from The Lancaster Host.

Everyone with an interest in padlock/handcuff collecting should be in attendance — including Ian.

Lancaster County is in the heart of Amish country.
Lots to see and do.
Hershey Pa. is also close by and has the best chocolate in the world. Belgium may have good beer but Hershey has the best chocolate.
Gettysburg is also very close by.
I will post more things to see and do here if anyone wants a fun side trip.

Also, I would add that The Lancaster Host is only a stone's throw from the Dutch Wonderland amusement park, though Hershey Park is probably even better, and everyone gets a commensurate chocolate bar with a tour of the factory.

A bit further away, but definitely worth the excursion, is Valley Forge National Park. This beautiful, well-preserved national landmark is especially nice in the summertime.

Hi all,
If anyone going wants to bring some rarities for us to look at that would be great.
I know it's hard if you're flying, but if driving bring some goodies! We all love to
look. We should have a great time, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there.

The "extras" in the area sound GREAT, and I would love to see some things, but our schedule
is pretty full. Also, to my knowledge none of use are going to the banquet. We'll all go
out and eat together, and take it from there.
