I have a few questions on the Hiatt 104 Darby
When did Hiatt stop making the classic 104 Darby handcuffs? I remember seeing them still for sale on Handcuffwarehouse back in 2007ish.
What is the strip out rate for the screw pins of a Hiatt 104?
Is there any place in the USA that sells replacement keys for the 104?

if by that you mean "locking bolt" it depends. In the earlier model die cast alloy, the locking bolt was made of brass, later it also was zince alloy.

If the key was forceable put into the keyhole and 'just' screwed in, it may have 'stripped" thread by being crossed threaded.

If the key is used a lot (100's time a month [?]) maybe it stripped the thread by over use and wear and tear.

Better to purchase and old steel version.
