Howdy guys! My name is Richard Knip. Im out here, just outside of Champaign, IL. I just registered to the forums, the other day. Nice place you have here! Love the idea of collectors helping out other collectors! What started my collection? When I was a boy, I was fascinated by the inner workings of any lock I could get my hands on. I started to play around with picking locks around the age of 10. I started fith a cheap pair of Tiawain made cuffs. I made a pick for them out in dad's shop and leaned how to pick them. My love of locks turned into a run as an illusionist/escape artist, here in the Midwest. That career ended in 97' when I suffered a minor stroke. I now collect to relive some of the days out in the spotlight. Picking locks and escaping from all types of things. I miss that. Enough about me. Back to the business of locks! I look forward to sharing what I have learned and gaining knowledge from the veteran collectors in here. Cheers!

Thank you Steve! I had no idea that there were this many collectors out there! LOL! That is so cool! Just to be able to hang around and chat with other folks that actually understand what you are talking about! I couldnt ask for anything more. Im still figuring out how to use this forum set-up. Post multiple pics, etc. I have a few cuffs im having issues identifying or getting keys for. When I get the posting thing figured out, I will get some pics up.

Then, to post a pic here on this forum, simply copy and paste that url into a message box.
