Difference s&w mod 90/91

Ok so this has probably been answered on here before but i cant find it so here goes whats the diffrence between s&w mod 90 and 91 as i have a srt of cuffs and im not sure what they are and by picture they look the same to me.

Here is my understanding. The model 90 was available in Nickle and Blued finishes. The 91 were only available as a polished finish. So, it would depend on the finish of your particular cuff as to which model you have. Hope that helps.

The model 91 was a polished model 90 also available in blued although it's quite rare. Some model 90s are shinier than others and there was even a high polish 90 at one time. Some of the older model 91s have a beautiful mirrored finish.

The very early S&W models also listed one that came in a chrome finish which is presumable even shinier.

Looking at them now they do look the same colour as the ones in the gallery marked model 90 which i guess is just nickle. Thanks so much for the help its a question that i have always wanted to know the answer to and now i know makes it more understandible. Many thanks martin

M-90, M-91 and M-928 on grey background (lighter than neutral grey). But not easy to show the polished finish ...

So there are the M-91. And slight error, it's the M-938 ("inox" steel) at bottom, not 928 (doesn't exist).
