What is your favorite handcuff?

As part of the Handcuff Annual 2006 I would like to include a section called "My favorite handcuff." This is something everyone can participate in.

Just send me a picture of you favorite cuff and a paragraph of text explaining why it is your favorite. Your favorite cuff is not necessarily a rare one, although it may be. Maybe it was a eBay deal of a lifetime. Maybe it is the first handcuff you ever owned. Maybe it was a wedding present. Maybe it a momento of that night on the town you can't remember. Maybe it is just a neat cuff.

What if you have more than one favorite? Choose the one you think would be of greatest interest to the readers of the Annual. A good picture is important, but so is a good story.

My favourites are my "American" super lite. they are aluminium and anodised with black steel chain and rivets. They are shaped so as not to cut . I love to wear them. Behind is almost impossible as I can't get them off once they are on. It has to be self applied. My partner does not want to know. At present she is asleep upstairs and I am sitting with my 1" half twist chain around my ankles and padlocked with about 14" of play to let me walk a little in my 4" heels. I have also a pair of adjustable Darbys. made in India. rather coarse manufacture but hefty. and three other pairs. one Darby and two swing through, one is Spanish-Alcyon. It would be marvellous if my partner would take part, even if not to wear. ah well, sweet dream.

my favorite handcuff is a black lips hinged handcuff
I've get it last week from the lips factory after a visit there
and my advice to them for a new model of lips handcuffs
they are engraved with my jear of birth
and it is an exclusive pair of lips hinged black

Hi Patrick,

did you see LIPS manufacturing these handcuffs? AFAIK they are all made by "Heinrich Hagge" of Germany and only stamped by (or with) LIPS. Please go to "Germany" at www.Cuffsland.com and compare your black LIPS with the black Hagge there.

Peerless (circa model 300, not the newer ones as much) for their "style" and pervasiveness.
Boar-War-Heavy-8 for their solidity and weight, and their "meanness".
Classical Darby's for their longevity and historical connection (see them all over the world).
SafLok's - they are the best (official use) cuffs out there, IMHO.
