Handcuffs that can't be cracked by binding the chain links

Is it possible to desing or are there such handcuffs that can't be defeated by binding the chain links and swivels and then by using the cuffs as a lever to rip of the chain/swivel?

I'm thinking about handcuffs that have at least two chain links and don't use hinges or the Alcyon rotating link.

When I was n law enforcement, I have done this to demonstrate that it could be done.

In my case one of the links opened enough to allow the cuffs to be separated.

In my limited experience with chain binding on handcuffs it would appear (at least to me) that the flat part of the chain helps play a role in the chain binding.

Would having rounded chain links help keep the links from binding?

There are new Ralkem handcuffs with single chain link. Perhaps there is no possibility to lock chain and swivel to defeat the swivel. There are Russian handcuffs like Crab with 3 rounded chain links perhaps also not vulnerable to locking chain - swivel

There was the company, Tri-Lock, that made the cuffs that were connected by a short length of aircraft cable. Perhaps that would be a way? No way to bind them, i would think. Any thoughts?

Richard the cuffs are mainly plastic and if the chain is not broken, interlocking the frames can be used to force the cuffs apart.

Hinged cuffs or solid state are the answer.

What do you think about the Göncz handcuffs and the handcuffs that have the double swivel in the middle (i.e. Darby, Hiatts-Peerless)?
Can they be also cracked by an average person?

Goncz cuffs never had a swivel.
He calls his cuff semi-hinged which offers some flexibility but also offers strength against what this blog is describing.
The chain is attached to the lock body segment of which the rest of the cuff is riveted to.
This is why he also described the cuff as a Hi-security model and is the reason that the Los Angeles Sheriff Transportation Dept signed a contract for many of these cuffs.

The double chain link have design flaw which allows in most case to defeat swivel. Photo shows some chain locking position which permit to apply a significant arm of force to swivel. Single and tripple chain links seems to not be vulnerable to this flaw.
