I do not have any insight to help answer your question. But, I can suggest contacting Peerless through their website. They are very informative and attentive to the people who have questions pertaining to thier products, past and present. I have sent them a few different emails on questions I had of previous models and serial numbers. They have returned my email within a day or two and have always supplied me with the information that was needed. Thanks. Yes this seems to be resolved with the "C" models. I specifically asked them afterwards, citing examples of people saying they were sick of cuffs getting stuck all the time during training and guys saying "We don't use Peerless in our department because of stuck cuffs." etc and they said it will resolve that issue. So I recommended they be more transparent because I avoided buying peerless because of that... I only bought them so that I have a pair of peerless. Very possibly. I had not looked at it like that. I would say that is actually likely, given all the complaints I have seen from people saying peerless jam/get stuck too much. Now they won't.
